Membership
The Civic Federation has been able to thrive for over 100 years thanks to the generous support from our members, including business and professional leaders from a wide range of Chicago area companies and institutions. Membership is open to individuals and corporations, service firms and nonprofit organizations.
Civic Federation members are invited to meetings with guest speakers frequently including opinion leaders and public officials. Members who serve on our various policy committees actively engage with staff in developing the research, information, and action produced by the Federation.
The Civic Federation bi-annually presents the Abel E. Berland Award for Outstanding and Exemplary Service to the Civic Federation to a member at our annual meeting.
Civic Federation members are expected to make annual contributions through membership dues and are encouraged to support the annual Civic Awards Luncheon when the Federation honors the civic achievements of an extraordinary citizen with the Gage-Msall Award and a corporation responsible for advancing the civic well-being of the Chicago area with the Addams-Palmer Award.
