The 2008 Civic Federation Awards Luncheon recognized the outstanding civic leadership of John W. Rowe, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Exelon Corporation, with the Lyman J. Gage Award. BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois received the Addams-Palmer Award for Exemplary Civic Involvement. Chief Executive Officer Raymond F. McCaskey accepted the award on behalf of his company. Over 500 of Chicago's business, civic, and government leaders joined event Co-Chairmen Lester Crown, W. James Farrell, Andrew J. McKenna, and Richard L. Thomas in honoring Mr. Rowe and BlueCross.
