Membership
The Civic Federation has been able to thrive over the years due to continued support from our members, who include business and professional leaders from a wide range of Chicago area companies and institutions.
Members receive our monthly newsletter highlighting recent Civic Federation activities and notifications of upcoming events. Local government leaders are invited to speak at Civic Federation Board meetings and forums, affording members the opportunity to engage in dialogue with local public officials.

By serving on our various policy committees, Civic Federation members actively participate with staff in developing the research, information, and action produced by the Federation. Starting in 2009, the Federation will annually present the Abel E. Berland Award for Outstanding and Exemplary Service to the Civic Federation by a Federation Director at our Annual Meeting.
Civic Federation membership is open to individuals and corporations, service firms, and not-for-profit organizations. Annual dues for corporations are structured based on the number of employees.

In addition to annual membership dues, members are encouraged to attend and support the Civic Federation's Annual Awards Luncheon. Each year, the Federation honors the civic achievements of an extraordinary citizen with the Lyman J. Gage Award and a corporation responsible for advancing the civic well-being of the Chicago area with the Addams-Palmer Award. Read more about the Civic Federation Awards.
